At Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in Izmir, 210 patients have undergone surgery with the Da Vinci Robot since 2015.

The Da Vinci Robot, which provides significant advantages for both patients and doctors, has been used in Urology, ENT, Cardiovascular Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, General Surgery, and Pediatric Surgery for procedures such as prostate, rectal diseases, gynecological diseases, oral larynx, and cardiovascular surgeries.

50TH UROLOGY SURGERY CELEBRATED WITH CAKE

The 50th urology surgery with robotic surgery at Tepecik Training and Research Hospital was celebrated with a cake by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Koç and his team. Dr. Koç, who performed 50 urology surgeries with his team, said, "With robotic surgery technology, operations are performed through small incisions instead of large cuts. Bleeding and pain are less after surgery, patients return to daily activities faster, and hospital stays are shorter. We performed a prostate surgery on our 50th patient, and he regained his health."

Hospital Director Prof. Dr. Gökhan Akbulut said, "I congratulate the entire team, especially Gökhan Koç, who pioneered this field."
