RECORD-BREAKING SURGERY: General surgery team member Tayfun Yoldaş and urology team member Prof. Dr. Gökhan Koç performed colon cancer and kidney tumor surgeries on Andiç at the same time. Andiç became the first patient to be recorded as having simultaneous robotic surgeries and expressed his happiness.

Robotic surgery technology continues to bring healing to patients. Another first was achieved at Izmir University of Economics (IEU) Medical Point Hospital. Tuncay Andiç (73), who applied to the hospital with intestinal complaints, was found to have both colon and kidney cancer. Surgery was decided for Andiç. Using robotic surgery technology, the general surgery team performed colon cancer surgery, and the urology team performed kidney cancer surgery at the same time. Tuncay Andiç (73), who regained his health after both surgeries, said, "I recovered in a week. My health is very good."
